1. The agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Rakuen Interactive ("we", "us") about Blast Arena and any related services, including this website (together, the "Game"). By downloading or playing the Game you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the Game.

You must be old enough to enter into this agreement where you live. If you are under that age, a parent or guardian must accept these terms for you and is responsible for your use of the Game, including any purchases. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.

2. Your licence

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and play the Game on devices you own or control, for non-commercial entertainment. You may not:

• copy, modify, reverse engineer or redistribute the Game, except where the law expressly allows it;
• sell, rent or sublicense the Game or your access to it;
• remove copyright or trademark notices.

3. Accounts

You can play as a guest. If you create an account you must give a working email address, keep your password secret and are responsible for what happens under your account. Usernames must not impersonate anyone, be offensive or contain personal information. We may rename or reclaim usernames that break these rules. You can delete your account at any time: see Support.

4. Purchases and virtual items

• What you can buy. The Game offers optional in-app purchases: packs of diamonds, supply bundles containing diamonds and gold, and a one-time Remove Ads purchase. Some larger diamond packs also remove forced ads. The exact contents and price are shown before you confirm.
• Payment. Purchases are processed by Apple through your App Store account, in your local currency, including any applicable taxes. We never receive your payment details.
• A licence, not property. Diamonds, gold, tickets, cards, paints, effects and other in-game items ("Virtual Items") are a limited licence to use a feature of the Game. They have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for money, goods or services outside the Game, and cannot be transferred or sold to other players.
• Delivery. Virtual Items are delivered to your profile immediately after Apple confirms the purchase. By buying, you agree that delivery starts straight away.
• Refunds. Purchases are final and non-refundable, except where the law gives you a right we cannot exclude. Refund requests are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. If a purchase is refunded or charged back, we may remove the Virtual Items it granted.
• Restoring. One-time purchases such as Remove Ads can be restored on a new device with "Restore Purchases" in the Game. Consumable items such as diamonds that have already been delivered are not restored by Apple; they are kept with your account progress.
• Changes. We may change prices, contents and availability of Virtual Items and rebalance the Game at any time. This does not affect purchases already delivered.

5. Random items

Card packs and chests contain randomly selected items. Packs are obtained with in-game gold or diamonds, or as rewards for playing. What you receive is determined by chance, and you are not guaranteed any specific item.

6. Ads and rewards

The Game is funded by advertising. You may see ads between matches, and you can choose to watch rewarded videos in exchange for in-game rewards. Rewards are granted only when the ad provider confirms the video was completed. Ad availability depends on third parties and is not guaranteed. We are not responsible for the content of third-party ads or the products they promote.

7. Fair play

When you use the Game you agree not to:

• cheat, or use bots, mods, hacks or any unauthorised software that changes the Game or gives an unfair advantage;
• exploit bugs instead of reporting them, or tamper with purchases, rewards or match results;
• harass, threaten or abuse other players, or use hateful or sexually explicit usernames;
• access or interfere with our servers or other players' accounts, or disrupt online matches on purpose;
• buy, sell or trade accounts or Virtual Items outside the Game;
• use the Game for anything unlawful.

8. Online service

Online features need an internet connection and depend on servers and third-party services. We do not promise they will always be available or free of interruptions, and we may change, suspend or discontinue the Game or any part of it. If we plan to shut the Game down for good, we will give reasonable notice in the Game or on this website where we can.

9. Ownership

The Game, including its code, art, music, characters, names and logos, belongs to Rakuen Interactive or its licensors and is protected by copyright and trademark law. Apart from the licence in section 2, these terms give you no rights in it. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without owing you anything.

10. Suspension and ending

You can stop at any time by deleting the Game and, if you have one, your account. We may suspend or close your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, for example by cheating or fraud. If we do, your licence ends and you lose access to your account and Virtual Items, without refund unless the law requires one.

11. Disclaimers

The Game is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including that the Game will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms limits consumer rights that cannot be excluded under the law of your country.

12. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for lost data or profits, arising from your use of the Game. Our total liability to you for all claims is limited to the amount you paid us through the Game in the six months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be excluded by law.

13. Apple terms

If you downloaded the Game from the Apple App Store, the following also applies:

• These terms are between you and Rakuen Interactive only, not Apple. We, not Apple, are solely responsible for the Game and its content.
• Your licence is limited to using the Game on Apple-branded devices you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, including through Family Sharing.
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the Game.
• If the Game fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the Game.
• Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the Game or your possession and use of it, including product liability claims, claims that the Game fails to conform to legal or regulatory requirements, and consumer protection or privacy claims.
• If a third party claims the Game infringes its intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are responsible for investigating, defending, settling and discharging that claim.
• You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
• You must comply with any applicable third-party terms when using the Game, such as your mobile data agreement.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and, once you accept them, have the right to enforce them against you.

14. General

We may update these terms as the Game changes. We will change the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you in the Game. If you keep playing after the changes take effect, you accept the new terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the country where Rakuen Interactive is established, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live. If part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a term, that is not a waiver of it.
